Climbing in the Dolomites of Brenta - on limestone and dolomite
In 1864, english explorers, for the first time, attempt the crossing of the Brenta from Molveno to Madonna di Campiglio, ideally giving off mountain exploration in the Dolomites.
John Ball, followed in later years by Douglas Freshfield and Francis Fox Tuckett, go to the discovery of the central chain of the Brenta, inaugurating the practice of MOUNTAINEERING IN TRENTINO.
The Dolomites of Brenta, retain an incredible historical alpinistic heritage, with an infinite number of classic climbing routes - although today there are also numerous sport routes, modern style - able to give strong emotions, thanks to the aesthetics of the lines, the views of incomparable beauty, the charm, courage and zeal that still can be breathed thinking of deeds of the great climbers of the past, as Detassis, Maestri, Graffer, Stenico, Castiglioni ...
