Consacrated as one of the kingdoms of piolet traction climbing in the Alps , the valley Daone, gorgeous and lonely valley of Trentino, located in the south-western part of the Adamello group, is characterized by a large presence of water, that freezing in winter time, offers a wonderful and varied play-ground in each of his numerous side valleys.

The large amount of existing flows, ensures complete satisfaction to the needs of each climber. In the most remote places, people can enjoy that sense of isolation and wilderness, otherwise improbable for a location so close and yet so far from urban life. Reference figure for the whole valley is the legendary Placido, who welcomes all ice climbers with real passion in his The Paia Inn.

Amongst the most classic itineraries of the main valley for their beauty and fame, are the three majestic waterfalls that overlook the lake Malga Boazzo, the Placca Multistrato, the Regina del Lago and the Sogno del Gran Scozzese. Walking on the main road, unmissable are the ice flows of Machu Picchu and Excalibur, two easy but very pleasant routes.
