SENTIERO ATTREZZATO BENINI
Ideal extension of the Via delle Bocchette
The Sentiero Benini is a beautiful via ferrata that leads into the heart of the Dolomites of Brenta, a route suitable for active children and families too.
From the top of Funivia Grostè, a path leads to the feet of Cima Grostè, where the via ferrata starts: with a long and esposed traverse, it takes over the eastern side of Cima Grostè, Campanile dei Camosci, Cima Falkner and Campanile di Vallesinella.
Then, through the Bocchetta Alta di Vallesinella and outflanking Cima Sella, reaches then Bocca di Tuckett where the cables end. A final pleasant descent along either a little snow-field or the Dallagiacome trail, takes to the main path heading down the valley. A break at cozy Rifugio Tuckett or Rifugio Casinei is not to be missed.
The hike can be accomplished in a day from top of Funivia Grostè, otherwise in a two or more days tour, combined with other via ferratas and overnight stay in mountain huts.
