FERRATA CASTIGLIONI e SENTIERO DELL'IDEALE
A perfect loop between Val d'Ambiez and Rifugio XXII Apostoli

The Ferrata Castiglioni follows a vertical line and features several ladders that make it particularly adrenaline and engaging: along an exclusive loop, the itinerary continues going round Cima d'Agola and Cima d'Ambiez, thank to the two passes of Bocca dei Camosci and Bocca D'Ambiez, then back down along the equipped path of Sentiero dell'Ideale and the Vedretta d'Ambiez ice-field.

The adventure starts immediately, as soon as off your own car, at the Baesa parking lot: a transfer with an off-road vehicle will take to the Rifugio Cacciatore, a unique and adrenaline experience not to be missed.

Walked passsed Rifugio Agostini, a final stretch leads to the start of the via ferrata, right below the unmistakable saddle of Bocca dei Due Denti. From the top, the view extends to every direction: in foreground the glaciers of Adamello-Presanella, on a side instead Cima Vallon, that dominates the southern end of the Brenta Dolomites.

Next to the Rifugio Agostini, a visit to the Silvia Cave is quite worthy: unique in its kind, it features a perennial glacier, stalagmites and ice falls (crampons and head-lights mandatory).
